I would argue that this is not a duplication of the bug, my wish for a feature is that my monitors would turn off after how my settings in Power Management is set. It could save some energy and unintended ware on the monitors.

Hi there, Maybe Nate meant that if power management is activated via your request, then automatically the behavior of the power button that you can set in power management settings will work as requested here.

We're both right to have open those request, energy saving is a priority

My problem isn´t with the power button, my problem is that if you upgrade the software, take a break, something happens that requires my attention somewhere else, so my computer will be unintended for a longer period (outside the envelop of my power management settings). It keeps the monitors On indefinitely, what it should do is to turn the monitors Off after my Power Management settings or an extra "Timeout" choice in SDDM. This problem only exists when the computers boots up the first time, before anyone has logged in. And if you logout and leaves the computer unintended.

I do understand that if you have multiple accounts on a computer, that might be a problem to solve. :)

"Power management" as a concept includes handling what the power button does when pressed. So implementing Bug 513159 will allow what you're after here to work.

But my issue isn't with the button it works perfectly. But a can´t press the button when a i'm away from my computer doing something else.

My issue is that my monitor is keep't in an On state indefinitely for now reason when the computer boots up from zero. I want it to turn Off after X-minutes when no input is detected. It saves energy, its saves monitor and it make no sense to have it On forever. I don´t know how to explain this bug/feature more clearly?

Yes, when "power management" is implemented, then the settings you choose for how to handle this situation will also take effect on the login screen.
