Description Klaus 2025-12-09 23:32:31 UTC
SUMMARY

In Sumatra PDF (Windows or Wine), bitmap graphics can easily be extracted from a PDF without loss of quality by right-clicking the image and selecting "copy image". It would be great to have the same feature in okular, as it helps greatly when e.g. assembling information from different PDFs for a presentation under time pressure. Using command-line tools like "pdfimages" is viable, but significantly slower.

RELATED EXISTING FEATURES

The closest thing Okular currently has is the "select area" tool, but this essentially creates a screenshot, degrading the display quality of the image.
