SUMMARY There were suddenly no menu bar in Steam. Googling let me know that unchecking Background Services/Application Menus daemon would work, so I did that. Restarting system then gave me the menus back (restarting Steam didn't). I'm here because of a link in Background Services told me to. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Everything is fine each restart for a couple of days after eos-update 2. Suddenly one morning no menu bar after startup 3. unchecking "Background Services/Application Menus daemon" and restarting system worked OBSERVED RESULT No menu bar in Steam EXPECTED RESULT Menu bar in Steam SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: EndeavourOS KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.20.0 Qt Version: 6.10.1 Kernel Version: 6.17.9-arch1-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland ADDITIONAL INFORMATION unchecking "Background Services/Application Menus daemon" worked. I hope I don't need it for anything
Do you use a global menu, or a menu button in your apps' titlebars? Or did you at any point in the past?
