SUMMARY
Edit shape tool stops functioning when changing point types.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  Right clicking on a shape's curve point.
2.  Changing the point's type to like curve, or even sometimes removing a point.
3. the tool stops working until I click the select shape tool then the edit shapes tool once more. Doesn't do it right away but after a few steps unless there are more vector layers.

OBSERVED RESULT
when I right click on a shape's point and select the options to change the point type it will sometimes freeze the tool, I have to unfreeze it manually with the above steps.

EXPECTED RESULT
not having to switch from shape select to edit shapes tool every time.
