SUMMARY
Originally identified here: https://discuss.kde.org/t/donate-where-how/42234
The donation notification does not have any buttons (screenshot available in original post). Sorry if listing this is 'major' is inappropriate, but thought it might be a higher concern given as there might be donations on the line.

Going by https://kde.org/community/donations/previousdonations/, this apparently is not a widespread issue, so that's a relief.

Is there anything unusual about your system with respect to notifications? Are you using a 3rd-party notification server, or have you used one in the past?

Are you using a 3rd-party Plasma style?

Do you see buttons on *any* notifications? Like, ever?

Hey Nate, that is indeed a relief :-)

I'm reasonably confident my system is pretty vanilla, at least as far as Arch is concerned. I migrated from a tiling window manager, but I started from a fresh format to avoid residual tiling manager package mess. I used archinstall, and only installed a few packages on top of that because I prefer to use flatpaks where possible, and none the packages strike me as noteworthy... cups, speech-dispatcher, qemu, that kind of thing...

Oh, sorry, forgot the other questions:

No, just breeze.

Yes, I have seen them, I just tested with discord and see a `view` button.

It did show up on my arch installation.

Last year we also had some people reporting the same thing, but we never figured out what was the issue:

What locale are you using? Are you using fractional scaling? Did you change the fonts or the font size or that you can think of that would cause this to happen?
Comment 5 Nate Graham 2025-12-03 01:33:54 UTC
And were you using the Plasma X11 session at the time it appeared?
Comment 6 v4u6h4n 2025-12-03 01:57:44 UTC
Locale: en_AU.UTF-8

Scale: 100%

No customization to fonts. Oh, I'm using using Krohnkite! Oops forgot to mention that! *facepalm* ...although not sure that would be the cause? Besides that everything is pretty vanilla, in terms of style. Just defaults for everything, including wallpaper, no crazy ricing.

On wayland the whole time.

Not sure what could be going on here. :(
