Double click a .txt file in Home dir 2. "Open with" panel opens, asking the application to use. 3. Browse and select a suitable editor (e.g. Sublime Text Editor) 4. Set "Remember association etc." 5. Click OK OBSERVED RESULT The selected editor opens the .txt file but closing the editor, a double click on the same .txt file repeat the previous procedure. EXPECTED RESULT The selected editor opens the .txt file and, after closing the editor, every time I double click a *.txt file the editor opens it. Does not reproduce for me on recent Fedora with newer releases of Qt etc. Operating System: Fedora Linux 43 KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.20.0 Qt Version: 6.10.1 Kernel Version: 6.17.8-300.fc43.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Krusader: 2.9.0 I had to clear all associations for text/plain in System Settings > Apps & windows > Default Applications > File Associations, but once done, ticking the 'remember' box caused the selected program to show in text/plain > preference order.
