SUMMARY Hey, I recently saw this packaged in the kde unstable repo on arch and decided to test it out. I know it isn't considered ready for production, but still wanted to give it a go. So far everything works fine. It shows up and I can login. Which is kinda all you need. However, I have noticed that autologin does not appear to work. I have copied the section from the sddm file to /etc/plasmalogin.conf as mentioned in the readme. I also tried using the kcm for plasma login manager that it is included in the package. It creates the file /etc/plasma-login.conf. However, that doesn't appear to work either. Something else strange that I noticed is that the old sddm file for autologin used my username for example "kcarrot2" where as plasma login uses my "display name"? Which in this case is my actual name. Just wanted to know if this is a known issue, a problem with the arch package, or just me being stupid? Maybe all of the above. Maybe "sddm" needs to be completely uninstalled because of some kind of conflict? If none of the above then I believe I have found a bug. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open system settings. 2. Go to "Login Screen". 3. Now choose which user automatically login as user. OBSERVED RESULT The login screen shows as always. EXPECTED RESULT My user should automatically be logged in.
