SUMMARY

When opening Display Configuration from the Desktop, the System Settings window appears really zoomed in for a split second before the animation finishes.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Go to the desktop
2. Right click and open Display Configuration

OBSERVED RESULT

The System Settings windows appears really zoomed in

EXPECTED RESULT

The System Settings window appears normally

Thanks for the bug report and for the screen recording. If I slow down the recording I think I see what you're talking about. I don't see the same problem on Plasma built from git-master,  with animation speed set to be very slow

I do see the same thing as in the video if the animation speed is set to one tick faster than the middle
