Description Carabao Island Observatory 2025-11-21 01:00:54 UTC
SUMMARY

Unable to control mount in Ekos. No details about RA DEC, NWSE not functioning. This happens when Sony a7sIII and Synscan mount are on the same profile and attached via USB cable. Individually, they are working as expected in Ekos. However, combining them together produces a problem. However, the Synscan together with Sony a7sIII can be controlled in Indi Control Panel.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a profile with the Sony DSLR as CCD and Synscan as Telescope
2. Connect the devices via USB cable and run the drivers
3.

OBSERVED RESULT

The camera can be detected and controlled on CCD tab using Ekos.
On the mount tab >> Mount Control, there is no details displayed, and by clicking NWSE does not move the mount.

However, with the same setup. Using the Indi Control Panel, I was able to control the mount and make it move.

Running a profile with Sony DSLR as CCD and Telescope Simulator as Telescope, the a7sIII works perfectly

Running a profile with CCD Simulator as CCD and Synscan as Telescope, the mount can be controlled and works perfeclty as well in Ekos

EXPECTED RESULT
Should be able to control the telescope mount and camera
