1.Show panel settings.
Hamburger menu/Show panels/
Enable:Information panel
Enable:Places panel
Enable or Disable:Terminal panel

2.Move information panel to under places panel.
日 ← This example, with information panel to under places panel.

3.Change size to information panel with mouse drag. Big or small.
4.Close Dolphin and Open new dolphin.

OBSERVED RESULT
Information panel size is reset of default.

Why? I want information panel size is small.
Because I add many places to places panel, Information panel obscures some places.
If information panel move side to terminal panel, I think use more easier see place view.
In FHD resolution 1920*1080. Yes that is little narrow vertical size.

Dolphin:26.07.03 from Opensuse KDE_Unstable repository.

I'm not able to reproduce this with Dolphin 25.08.3 on Plasma 6.5.3 using the same steps.
Can you reproduce this with a brand new user?

Thanks check. Sorry late info. I check result this.

First, I remove file of dolphin config.
~/.config/dolphinrc
~/.config/dolphin
~/.share/kxmigui5/dolphin

I use build tool of kdesrc-build. This happen on 26.03.70.

If I open dolphin with krunner, Dolphin open 25.08 on opensuse Tumbleweed brunch.
I no change dolphin.desktop file. So open command on dolphin.desktop file is this.
Exec=dolphin %u
25.08 is not comming back setting of info panel size, So no probrem.

But I open dolphin of build-dolphin.desktop with krunner or Konsole, Open build-dolphin, That version is 26.03.70.
This version have probrem. Info panel is comming back size to changed before.

I build dolphin of 26.03.70 is 5day ago. So I will try new build.

I build today, Git dolphin version 26.03.70, but many commit.
No changed that. Comming back info panel size before.
