Description Dan Dascalescu 2025-11-19 09:30:03 UTC
SUMMARY
After upgrading to KDE 6.4.5, pressing Ctrl+F sets focus on the "Search" set of emojis (parallel to "Recents", "Flags" etc.) but doesn't set focus in the "Search" input text, thus requiring an extra click to get there (it's unclear if tabbing would even end up in that input box).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Meta + .
2. Press Alt+F to focus on the Flags
3. Press Ctrl+F to focus on the Search pane

OBSERVED RESULT
Can't see the blinking cursor in the "Search..." input box

EXPECTED RESULT
The "Search..." input box should have received focus.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 25.10

I'm not able to reproduce this in Plasma built from git-master or Plasma 6.5.4 on Solus. After your system updates to Plasma 6.5.4 or later, can you re-test? Thanks!
