In the Italian version of Dolphin, the Desktop folder is shown as “Desktop” instead of “Scrivania”. This is inconsistent with the italian translation used by the XDG user-dirs standard. According to the official XDG user-dirs Italian translation: xdg-user-dirs-0.17.it.po → “Desktop” = “Scrivania” (see: https://translationproject.org/PO-files/it/xdg-user-dirs-0.17.it.po) As a result of this the actual folder is correctly created as /home/<user>/Scrivania/, the localized XDG directory name is Scrivania, but in Dolphin the same folder appears with the localized name Desktop, causing confusion! This does create inconsistency between filesystem and the UI that displays it!
Created attachment 186893 [details] image.png Salve sono io il creatore del bug report, il problema che ho segnalato e' il fatto che dolphin non traduca la stringa di testo "Desktop" lasciandola invariata, cosi' facendo (non aderendo alla traduzione xdg) si viene a creare questa situazione dove il file system crea la cartella con il nome Scrivania ma Dolphin invece nella gui la mostra con il nome diverso, il che crea molta confusione!
