Version: 1.5 (using KDE 3.0.9) Compiler: gcc version 3.2 20020903 (Red Hat Linux 8.0 3.2-7) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.18-17.8.0 this bug has seemed to have come up before and been closed, but i'm still suffering from it. all my html messages have blank boxes where images should be. i'm using qt-3.1.0 -system-jpeg -system-libmng -system-libpng -qt-imgfmt-jpeg -qt-imgfmt-mng -qt-imgfmt-png i don't really have any image problems with the rest of kde. i've had this problem with kmail for a long time now, dunno why i've waited so long to report it... thanks, -- christopher
Subject: Re: New: html messages missing images Are the images part of the message? In this case KMail can't display the images yet. There's already a wish list item for this. If the images are not part of the message but should be loaded from some websites then you should check whether you forgot to enable loading of external references (Configure KMail... -> Security -> General). This is disabled by default (see the What's This help for the reasons).
KMail still does not allow for viewing of embedded images in HTML (where the images are sent as part of the MIME message itself and referenced through "cid:" links). If this bug report refers to the above described behaviour, and a wishlist item for this exist, please mark this bug reporta as a duplicate of the wishlist item (I personally have not been able to find one). OTOH, if this bug report refers to the ability to load external referenced images (which is what I suspect it is all about as I don't see the "blank boxes" behaviour with MIME embedded images), then please mark it as closed, so I can open a new bug report pertaining to the above behavior. TIA
