Description kmdest 2025-11-16 22:00:12 UTC
SUMMARY
Renaming multiple files strips the file extension off of the files for literally no reason, this is not mentioned or avoidable when using the rename function on multiple files. Even the 'preview' lies to the user, pretending it will keep the extension.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select multiple files
2. Rename in 'Replace Text' mode, replace any text sequence, hit rename
3. Watch it delete the file extension too

OBSERVED RESULT
No extension

EXPECTED RESULT
Not affecting the extension since it was not targeted

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Not sure if it ever worked.
