Launcher takes a bit while to be ready (start processing key inputs, like arrow keys to change the highlighted icon) 2. This also results in delayed closure of the launcher if you double tap your win key 3. Notice the small bold blue underscore on the app launcher widget is delayed as well SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.19.0 Qt Version: 6.10.0 Kernel Version: 6.17.7-arch1-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with Radeon Graphics Memory: 32 GiB of RAM (31.2 GiB usable) Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Pls, there are always some regression glitches from time to time. Last I saw was Ark unable to extract, reported quite a while ago and not fixed yet.

Thanks for the bug report. Hopefully things will work ok from this point forward. I'll set this to NEEDSINFO to send a reminder in 15 days. If the bug happens again, set the report back to REPORTED. Journal logs and the output of top when the bug happens would be helpful, in that case.
On my system (Debian 14 + Plasma 6.5.3), the animation seems to be a bit slow and it gives me the impression that is slow. I wish it was just a bit faster.

If animations are slower than they were before 6.5.3, that may be a bug. Are they slower now? Also, is the application menu animation slower than other animations in the UI? If they have always been slow, you can adjust the animations in Quick Settings.
