In KDE Plasma 6.5 (Wayland, KWin), auto-repeat no longer works when holding a global shortcut. Previously, holding a global hotkey triggered repeated actions. Now, only a single action fires on press, with no repeat while held. This makes repeated triggering tedious for some workflows. It would be helpful to restore the previous repeat behavior or add a per-shortcut/global toggle to enable/disable key repeat on hold.
Yes, this indeed is an issue that affects my workflow too.
It would be helpful if you could explain which shortcut(s) you're missing auto repeat on. It's only been disabled on a few select ones.
For me, it is the PrntScreen and Scroll Lock keys. I use them as global shortcuts to control my media player, since my keyboard does not have dedicated media keys.
