Created attachment 186758 [details] buttons in left top corner of window SUMMARY In many (maybe all) Aurorae themes mentioned button looks the same like button “Window menu”. To be honest I never met yet that this button would look different. I found, opening directory with theme, that authors don’t provide such button, so with name "application menu" or similar. To be honest I tried to create such button with following names: "menu.svg", "application menu.svg", "applicationmenu.svg", but this didn't bring any result. Button was still like "Window menu". Please consider that correctly it is displayed only in theme Breeze and Plastic. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open System Settings -> Color & Themes -> Window Decorations -> Configure Title Bar Buttons 2. Drag and Drop "Application Menu" to title bar 3. Click Apply and back to Window Decorations 4. Install any Aurorae theme (I tested with "Windows-Eleven-Dark") and apply it 5. Open any KDE/Plasma application, I tested with Dolphin OBSERVED RESULT In the left top corner of window (on title bar) you will see two the same icons EXPECTED RESULT Icon for "Application menu" button should be the same like in themes Breeze or Plastic, or at least be different than "Window menu" SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.20.0 Qt Version: 6.9.3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Wayland, but I also observed this in X11 Issue is similar to reported in Bug 384301 (reported at 2017) related to Oxygen theme
In theme package should be provided (picture) file with name appmenu.svg, of course in format like any dedicated for window decoration, so i.e.: alldesktops.svg. Unfortunately a lot of window decoration themes don't provide it :(. Big thanks for suggestion to Vlad Zahorodnii. https://blog.vladzahorodnii.com/2025/11/13/whats-next-for-aurorae/
