Application: kalarm (3.6.4 (KDE Gear 23.08.5)) Qt Version: 5.15.13 Frameworks Version: 5.115.0 Operating System: Linux 6.17.4-76061704-generic x86_64 Windowing System: X11 Distribution: Pop!_OS 24.04 LTS DrKonqi: 5.27.11 [KCrashBackend] -- Information about the crash: It could be some artifact of Pop! OS 20.24 Beta / Cosmic. I had just logged in and Kalarm popped up an alarm that SHOULD have gone off hours ago but because Cosmic does not seem to truly understand "run in the background", Kalarm exits if I close all windows. As I moved the mouse over the late alarm to click "Acknowledge", it crashed. The reporter is unsure if this crash is reproducible. -- Backtrace: Application: KAlarm (kalarm), signal: Aborted [KCrash Handler] #4 __pthread_kill_implementation (no_tid=0, signo=6, threadid=<optimized out>) at ./nptl/pthread_kill.c:44 #5 __pthread_kill_internal (signo=6, threadid=<optimized out>) at ./nptl/pthread_kill.c:78 #6 __GI___pthread_kill (threadid=<optimized out>, signo=signo@entry=6) at ./nptl/pthread_kill.c:89 #7 0x00007acceb64527e in __GI_raise (sig=sig@entry=6) at ../sysdeps/posix/raise.c:26 #8 0x00007acceb6288ff in __GI_abort () at ./stdlib/abort.c:79 #9 0x00007accecb05952 in ??? The crash occurs in a Pulse audio library. The crash trace unfortunately doesn't contain enough information to even start investigating the crash (and there haven't been any similar reports), so I'll have to close the bug report. In case there is a misunderstanding of KAlarm's operation, it is not designed to run while you are logged out. Any alarm which occurs while logged out will activate when you log in again (subject to any cancel-if-late timeout).
