SUMMARY Updated Qt6-base from 6.10.0-2 to 6.10.0-3. SDDM would not load. Stuck on loading screen right before GUI. Was able to switch to new tty. Downgraded back to 6.10.0-2. Loaded back in normally. Error messages mentioned below. Sddm theme is eos-breeze. EndeavorOS. 6.12 LTS. Switching to 6.17 does not fix issue. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. In EndeavorOS / Arch upgrade to qt6-base 6.10.0-3 with eos-breeze sddm theme (might work for other themes too. Didn't try. eos-breeze isn't too different from breeze as far as I know) 2. Reboot OBSERVED RESULT SDDM does not load. Stuck on loading screen right before GUI. Display resolution/scaling changes as the last step (as is normal). Monitor is 1440p and usually this scaling change happens normally and then SDDM loads up. With qt6-base 6.10.0-3 the scaling change happens and terminal startup messages load back up. Systemd error message: "Failed to start Simple Desktop Display Manager A start job for unit sddm.service has finished with a failure." EXPECTED RESULT Load into SDDM SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: EndeavourOS KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.19.0 Qt Version: 6.10.0 Kernel Version: 6.12.57-1.1-lts (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland
Please report this to your distribution

Apologies if this the wrong place to report. Under the impression that the error is with qt6-base. Not the theme.
(In reply to Antonio Rojas from comment #1) > Please report this to your distribution Same error observed with default breeze theme.

Still not a KDE problem, if this is triggered by a package update in your distribution. Please follow up in your downstream thread.

Please follow up in your downstream thread. Thanks for the help. It was an ALHP issue and has since been resolved
