SUMMARY
Transparent Clip Monitor and Project monitor window

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Just open Kdenlive, there is no particular step to follow to reproduce the issue

OBSERVED RESULT
Clip Monitor and Project Monitor windows show what is under the Kdenlive window (the ChromeOS desktop or other opened app) outside of the video rectangle, indicating an issue with window compositing/opacity.

EXPECTED RESULT
Clip Monitor and Project Monitor window should show a background color and not what's behind them.

Linux/KDE Plasma: Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm)
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.103.0
Qt Version: 5.15.8

Your version of Kdenlive is almost 3 years old. Please update to the latest version 25.08.3 and see whether the issue still exists. Thanks!

I installed the new version (25.08.3) via AppImage and it crashes at startup with: The Wayland connection broke. Did the Wayland compositor die?.
I could run the app by forcing it to use X11 running: QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb ./kdenlive-25.08.3-x86_64.AppImage and the reported bug does not appear in X11.

Thanks for testing it with 25.08.3 and confirming it works. Closing the bug report now.
