Version: 1.5 (using KDE 3.1.9) Compiler: gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.2.19 Hi! IMHO the From/to represenation could be improved in composer and header files. Problem: all receipients are on ONE line and get wrapped, making it extremly difficult to check who is on the list. in composer the line does not even get wrapped, but one has to scroll through ONE line making it almost impossilbe to check/remember who is on the list possible solution: put ONE receipient on ONE line either only in KDE and in th message header (which migth not be possible) cu ferdinand
Moreover, it would be nice to limit number of lines displayed with patological number of recepients to some reasonable limit (4?). Secretary of our department sends memos around with some 150 recipients -- it is ugly to scroll couple of pages, just to get through To: line. Yes, I could use Brief Headers, but cannot I get both -- list of recipients and readability? Thanks, Matej
yes one line per address and eventually show the associated name which is stored in the adressbook. this should work for all headers (To, From, CC..)
Clicking "Select Email Addresses" (the button with 3 dots !!) displays the the addresses one per line - nice solution. thanks
the method I mentioned above works only in composer. it would also be nice to have such a fine listening for incoming mail. It is not very user friendly to hit "replay to all" fist and then hit on the button with the dots to see the recipients in a readable form.
Following comments made my comment #1 off-topic here -- it should be bug #48219 now, which is BTW somehow semi-DUP to this one.
IMHO a very nice solution now (2005-02-05) for the composer window. still missing a similar solution for received mail (view and print). a toggle button to switch between "one line per address" and the current solution
