Created attachment 186611 [details] Launcher not listing kicad under K SUMMARY - When I open the launcher and type in "kicad" it finds the programm. (Everything works as it should) - When I open the launcher and go through the lists to find kicad with my eyes, it is not listed there at all. (Broken) - I have looked in every category and also in every letter in the alphabetic view. It is not there. - The KDE Menu Editor does not find the app at all, even when entering it's name. - Other launchers also don't list the kicad app. The desktop files are at ~/.local/share/applications/ because I modified them to add an env variable. An unmodified version is also at /usr/share/applications/ Here is the content of one desktop file (but I deleted all translations to keep it short) ``` [Desktop Entry] Version=1.0 Terminal=false Icon=kicad Type=Application Categories=Science;Electronics; Exec=kicad %f StartupWMClass=kicad Keywords=Projectmanager; MimeType=application/x-kicad-project; Name=KiCad GenericName=EDA Suite Comment=Suite of tools for schematic design and circuit board layout X-Desktop-File-Install-Version=0.22 ``` SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS OS: Arch Linux x86_64 Kernel: Linux 6.17.7-zen1-1-zen Shell: bash 5.3.3 DE: KDE Plasma 6.5.2 WM: KWin (Wayland)

If you do the same in a new clean user account on the same computer, does it show up in Kickoff? Or is it still missing?
