Description John Tanner 2025-11-06 07:43:48 UTC
SUMMARY

Weather widget requires a user to manually provide a location. This appears to be rather redundant as night light (built in) requires geoclue, which can be queried to provide an actual location.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open widget
2. Widget requests user to provide location manually

OBSERVED RESULT

Works as expected.

EXPECTED RESULT

Widget should use geoclue in order to query location of device, or at least provide option for automatic location determination as seen in night light.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This is not a bug per-se, but a request to tighten up integration of components across kde. The widget is very much appreciated!
