SUMMARY After updating to Plasma 6.5.1 from 6.4 in Fedora, all Activities appear as in use (following recent changes to this), but none of them other than the Default one (or the currently active one I suppose) can be accessed. New activities suffer from this malfunction too. This happens both in the Activities Sidebar and the Activities Pager Widget. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Activities Sidebar or Widget 2. Try to change to another Activity or create a new one and try to change to that OBSERVED RESULT It can't be done EXPECTED RESULT The shell should change to the desired Activity. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 42 KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.1 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.19.0 Qt Version: 6.9.3
> It can't be done What exactly happens when you try?
The Activity thumbnail you desire to go reacts to hover as usual, but once you click, nothing happens. You stay in the current Activity and nothing else.
Oops... Turns out a system reboot solved the "issue". Still unsure what caused it in the first place though. I feel so embarrassed, sorry for the troubles.
