Created attachment 186481 [details] Screen capture of the translation SUMMARY Whenever a USB drive is disconnected, a KDED message pops up and it reads "Un périphérique USB a été disparu." in the French translation. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Plug in a USB drive. 2. Disconnect the USB drive through Dolphin or through the panel bar. OBSERVED RESULT KDED message pops up and it reads "Un périphérique USB a été disparu." EXPECTED RESULT "Un périphérique USB a été déconnecté". "a été disparu" is grammatically incorrect and "disparu" means "lost" which is the wrong translation. Hello Frédéric. Thank for your report Translation fixed as proposed: "Un périphérique USB a été déconnecté" File commited. Have a nice day. Regards. Xavier
I wrote too fast. The bottom message in the same popup reads "débranché", so maybe for consistency it's better to use twice the same expression, either one is good. Thank you for your work.
Hello Frédéric. Thanks for this remark on translation consistency. In fact, I fixed this point in the file plasma-workspace/kded_devicenotifications.po, a bit too quickly. In fact, in this module, the choice was made to use "débranché" rather than "déconnecté". So, I modified my correction "Un périphérique USB a été déconnecté" by "Un périphérique USB a été débranché" to be consistent with the others strings related to device removal notifications. File modified accordingly and commited. Sorry for the inconvenience. Regards. Xavier
