Description angel 2025-10-30 19:15:45 UTC
Hi, I have been having an issue that I recognised mostly when I leave my PC to go to sleep naturally. After turning it back on and logging on, the brightness option seems to disappear. I have found this is linked to the powerdevil service and that appears to die for some reason, I can't pinpoint why.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Change settings so PC goes to sleep by itself.
2. Wait for screen to go black and you are logged out
3. Wake PC up (login screen should only have option to switch user) and login

OBSERVED RESULT
No Brightness option is system tray is visible

EXPECTED RESULT
Brightness option should be visible in system tray

Additionally, the brightness seems to be different from what the actually brightness level is, not sure if this is related.
