Just to be sure it is not the same problem as in another recent report, what is the opening date of the account? If you recently created the account, its opening date would be the date you created it. Any transaction with a date prior to that cannot be saved. You should be able to change the opening date by Account/Edit Account to make it earlier than the oldest transaction you need to create or import.
Created attachment 186107 [details] attachment-1913209-0.html Thanks Jack, Simple answers for simple problems. Changed opening date for the account and that fixed the issue. Problem was driving me a little crazy. I wonder if a popup over the disabled "Save" button stating what is blocking it might be possible.
From 5.2 on we show a red frame around the date widget and a tool tip which explains the reason.
Created attachment 186139 [details] attachment-2113756-0.html I installed the 5.1 series about a month ago, looked for an update after reading your email but could not find it. Has the 5.2 series been released yet?
