SUMMARY Paired bluetooth devices are listed as "Available" when their bluetooth adapter is disabled. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Pair a bluetooth device 2. Bluetooth -> Configure -> toggle off the `Enabled` switch for that adapter 3. Return to the list of paired bluetooth devices OBSERVED RESULT Devices paired to the disabled adapter are listed under the "Available" heading, when they are definitely not available. EXPECTED RESULT Devices paired to a disabled adapter should be listed separately, and ideally marked explicitly in some way as being paired but unavailable because their adapter is disabled. I'm not able to reproduce this on Plasma built from git-master. The result of following those steps is that the Bluetooth kcm shows "Bluetooth is disabled" with no devices shown Do you have more than one Bluetooth adapter set up by chance?
Yes, I have 2 bluetooth adapters. Sorry, should've mentioned that in the report.
We don't have amazing support for the situation where you have multiple Bluetooth adapters. See also Bug 489394.
I can reproduce this on git-master using a laptop with the internal Bluetooth receiver disabled and an external BT USB dongle enabled
Yes I experienced bug 489394 as well, and a number of other issues I noticed since adding an external BT dongle. I see several areas that can be improved where multiple adapters are present, though I am sure this isn't a super common situation.
