Created attachment 185816 [details] The notification in question. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Connect a pendrive or any storage device. 2. Click on the notification informing that the device is now connected. OBSERVED RESULT Nothing happens. EXPECTED RESULT Clicking the notification should open the storage's folder (unless it got removed). SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.19.0 Qt Version: 6.10.0 Kernel Version: 6.17.2-arch1-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 8 × 11th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-11300H @ 3.10GHz Memory: 9 GB of RAM (8.1 GB usable) Graphics Processor 1: Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics Graphics Processor 2: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Manufacturer: LENOVO Product Name: 82MG System Version: IdeaPad Gaming 3 15IHU6
The hitbox could be the entire notification, except the two buttons on the top-right corner.
It seems like a user friendly thing to do would be open a dialog asking the user what they want to do, presenting the same options as in the device widget
Unfortunately the notification code doesn't know if it's a storage device or not. All it knows is that it's some kind of USB device. I think it's a good idea in the abstract, but it would take a lot of code to change. It's also unnecessary for a person using the default settings; the Disks & Devices widget *does* know which USB devices are storage devices, and it should appear to offer you the exact button you're looking for. Is there a reason that doesn't work for you? Have you disabled the Disks & Devices widget in your System Tray?
