Created attachment 185648 [details] Video of the issue at hand SUMMARY My apologies if this has been reported already. But I have an error where the audio recording in Kdenlive does work while recording. It picks up the sound, renders the preview of the audio channel and such. But as soon as I stop the recording the recorded audio will be cut off to only a few milliseconds. I had occasions where it worked for one recording and then broke after the 2nd and any additional recording. Hence the issue might not appear at the very first try. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. New project 2. Add Audio record track 3. Record audio 4. Stop record audio OBSERVED RESULT Recorded audio get cut off EXPECTED RESULT Recorded audio to stay in full form in the timeline SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Kalpa Desktop 20251007 KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.18.0 Qt Version: 6.9.2 Kernel Version: 6.17.0-2-default (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core Processor Memory: 16 GiB of RAM (15.2 GiB usable) Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - I run the Kdenlive flatpak - I use PipeWire as audio server
Tested with 325.08.2 same story. Also it seems the timing is completely off too. Added one of the recording as reference.

(In reply to Imo "Vortex Acherontic" Hester from comment #1) > Tested with 325.08.2 same story. Also it seems the timing is completely off > too. Added one of the recording as reference. *25.08.2
I can confirm this with 25.08.2 appimage on Pop!_OS. Sound is picked up, recorded waveform shows in the timeline, but stopping the recording trims the clip to an arbitrary length. If there is a longer clip, playback is distorted, sped up, and has interruptions indicating that the .wav file has not been created properly. Occasionally, a subsequent recording shows a window for transcoding but with garbage content and Kdenlive crashes shortly after. It works, however, with the 25.08.1 appimage.

Same problem here. This doesn't happen in the 25.04.3 version (tested from the AppImage).
