In a fresh installation the panel is missing some of the default applets, like the digital clock and Show Desktop applet.

It does *not* seem to happen when deleting the config of an installed session

The log suggests that the layout.js script is interrupted.

Reverting https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-workspace/-/merge_requests/5806 fixes it

Then lets revert for now, it wasn't fixing anything critical
