If the system is capable of displaying a thumbnail for this kind of file at all, it should show up - when you go to Properties, it should show the size of the file OBSERVED RESULT - sometimes the thumbnail will remain the generic thumbnail for the type of file. But if you rename it, it will then show an actual thumbnail, proving that this is a supported file type that the desktop IS capable of showing a thumbnail of, so there's no reason whatsoever for the correct thumbnail to not show up from the very moment the file is finished being created, or a few milliseconds later - sometimes, when you open the Properties, the size will say "0 bytes". That's especially wrong because the moment I explicitly open Properties, you should NEVER use a cached value, no matter when it was cached, but always read the actual size of the file. Thank you for the bug report! However Plasma 6.3.6 no longer receives updates or maintenance from KDE; active versions are 6.4 or newer. Please upgrade to an active version as soon as your distribution makes it available to you. Plasma is a fast-moving project, and bugs in one version are often fixed in the next one. If you need help with Plasma 6.3.6, please contact your distribution, who bears the responsibility of providing help for older releases that are no longer receiving updates from KDE. If you can reproduce the issue after upgrading to an active version, feel free to re-open this bug report.
