If I mount via Dolphin, the Disks and Devices widget does not update and keeps proposing to mount the device. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Insert a CDROM 2. Look at the Disks and Devices popup 3. Open dolphin 4. Click on the CDROM entry in dolphin 5. Look at disks and devices again OBSERVED RESULT At step 2 the cdrom appears twice. At step 5 disks and devices keep proposing "mount" even if the device has been mounted. EXPECTED RESULT Removable device entries are not shown twice and get updated when the status of the device changes. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.6 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.18.0 Qt Version: 6.9.2 Kernel Version: 6.16.8-1-MANJARO (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-4750HQ CPU @ 2.00GHz Memory: 15.5 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Intel® Iris® Pro Graphics P5200 Manufacturer: Notebook Product Name: W740SU ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Lack of update is also reported in bug 494483, but in that case it is about an encrypted disk, not a CDROM.
More info: - Once the device has been mounted via Dolphin, the "Mount" operation proposed by Disks and Devices does nothing. It does not even trigger recognition that the device is already mounted. - Unmounting and ejecting via Disks and Devices at this point is simply impossible as no option for it is proposed. If in the meantime you have closed dolphin, then there is no possibility to unmount the device (unless you reopen dolphin).
