SUMMARY
Krita simply won't render animations at all. I'm not having any RAM issues, FFmpeg is properly installed, I have plenty of space on my SSD, and there are no unnecessary layers. None of my projects are working when I try to render. I urgently need help with this


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. i made animation
2. i start the render
3. the program crashes

OBSERVED RESULT
No matter what I do, it just doesn't work


EXPECTED RESULT
The program should just render the animation like it's supposed to

Possibly related to Bug 509010, which in turn looks like an encoding problem on Windows.

Does it work when you try to render the animation into a directory that doesn't contain any accented letters like á or ñ? If your username in Windows has them, you'll have to use a directory that's not under your user, like directly under your C: drive or on a USB stick or something.

I'm sorry you've been having throuble with this. Sadly, I haven't been able to reproduce this error on the Krita 5.2.13 for Windows yet. 

I have a couple of questions for you:

1. Towards the bottom of the "render animation" dialog, what does it say the PATH and VERSION of FFmpeg are? (Krita comes bundled with a limited version of FFmpeg which supports some formats but not others. Ideally it wouldn't show any of the unsupported formats as options, but it may.)

2. Can you tell me a little bit more about what render settings and output format (container and codec) you are trying to use? 

3. If you're using a non-bundled FFmpeg, how did you install it? WinGet?

4. Does your file path contain any accented characters or otherwise special characters?
