Created attachment 185459 [details] kscreen-doctor output showing error state SUMMARY Using a Thinkpad T14 Gen5 laptop with a Caldigit TS3 dock and 2x Dell 4k monitors, when waking from sleep I usually (not 100% though) need to remove dock entirely and/or power cycle monitors to get both displays working. When my primary display is not working, Plasma still sees it as connected and therefore doesn't move windows and the taskbar back to the working display, so they're just hidden. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. While connected to dock with lid shut, allow laptop to go to sleep. 2. Open lid of laptop, wake from sleep and unlock plasma 3. Shut lid of laptop OBSERVED RESULT One external display lights up correctly, the other remains dark. Monitor shows 'No Signal', however plasma believes it's connected. EXPECTED RESULT Both monitors light up SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.18.0 Qt Version: 6.9.2 Kernel Version: 6.12.49-1-lts (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 8840U w/ Radeon 780M Graphics Memory: 32 GiB of RAM (30.0 GiB usable) Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon 780M Graphics Manufacturer: LENOVO Product Name: 21MCCTO1WW System Version: ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Please attach the output of drm_info when the display is working, and again when it's not receiving a signal
Created attachment 185772 [details] drm_info when one screen is attached but blank
Created attachment 185773 [details] drm_info after fixing so both are working
Both drm_info outputs show both displays being driven normally, so this is a driver bug. Please report it at https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues
