SUMMARY Chromium audio entries in volume applet do not reflect tab titles STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Chromium and play a music video on YouTube. 2. Open a new window/tab in Chromium and play another music video. 3. Check the application tab in the volume applet under the system tray on the taskbar. OBSERVED RESULT There are two entries for Chromium in the volume applet, both labeled simply as "Chromium." EXPECTED RESULT The entries in the volume applet should reflect the titles of the tabs that are currently playing audio, similar to the behavior for Firefox. Chromium does not expose this information to PulseAudio, so we cannot display it
(In reply to Nicolas Fella from comment #1) > Chromium does not expose this information to PulseAudio, so we cannot > display it Oh. Would've been really nice to have that. Makes KDE feel polished. I have a pretty limited understanding on this, but any chance that it can be made to work via MPRIS?
Relevant report in Chromium Issue Tracker: https://issues.chromium.org/issues/41346246 Seems to be 'not planned'.
