Comment 1 Nate Graham 2025-09-25 15:23:00 UTC
Possibly related to Bug 498894? I can't reproduce this myself with current git master.

I think we're going to need more information to triage the issue further. Can you identify the circumstances under which it happens? Thanks!
Comment 2 alerikaisattera 2025-09-25 15:58:02 UTC
This sometimes happens when the source is the text within Brave browser, but the chance is rather low. Might occur in other circumstances though
Comment 3 David Edmundson 2025-09-25 18:34:02 UTC
Can you share your ~/.config/klipperrc
Comment 4 alerikaisattera 2025-10-01 15:22:47 UTC
It's absent
Comment 5 TraceyC 2025-10-01 19:17:39 UTC
Can you share the output of this command?

find ~/.config -iname klipperrc
Comment 6 alerikaisattera 2025-10-02 04:27:14 UTC
Empty output
Comment 7 TraceyC 2025-10-02 17:26:03 UTC
We'll need more details about how to reliably reproduce this before we're able to do anything. Even a web page where you might see this more often would be helpful.
Comment 8 alerikaisattera 2025-10-02 18:49:38 UTC
There is no way to reliably reproduce this, copying the same text twice this way can both cause and not cause this bug. Seems like it's not tied to any particular web page and can occur anywhere. It certainly occurs on this website

Please attach a screenshot of the clipboard settings - General Configuration. Thanks.
