Description jstuart 2002-11-20 22:54:34 UTC
Version: (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: GCC 2.96 Redhat 7.2
OS: Linux

When attempting to download the following URL (http://www.web-presentations.com/ccs/datepickerbuilder.exe) konqi crashed. This URL was given to me in an email which I got via Evolution. I then chose to copy the URL to the clipboard. Klipper then fired up and asked me what I wanted to do with the URL. I chose to open it in Konqi. Konqi started up and then immediately crashed with the following back trace: (Note: I tried this both with and WITHOUT kget running. Kget was able to download the file without any problems.)

Comment 1 jstuart 2002-11-20 23:03:02 UTC
Subject: Re: New: Konqi crashes when attempting to download
	valid .exe file

Ok and yes, this is also KDE CVS Head from 11/18/2002. (IE I DID put
that in the version but it appears that bugzilla decided to drop it! :()

Also, when I put that URL right into the location bar of a newly opened
Konqi window, it crashed again with the same backtrace.

Note: If I type the URL into krun, it prompts me for a program to open
with and when I choose Konqi from the Internet Menu, I then get a window
that asks me the following question: "Do you really want to execute
<path to temp file ending in datepickerbuilder.exe>?".
