Created attachment 185204 [details] Example pdf file SUMMARY I came across some pdf files that are similar to the one that I have attached as an example. % pdfinfo out.pdf Creator: RICOH Aficio MP 5002 Producer: RICOH Aficio MP 5002 CreationDate: Wed Jun 25 09:38:00 2025 EEST ModDate: Wed Jun 25 09:38:00 2025 EEST Custom Metadata: no Metadata Stream: no Tagged: no UserProperties: no Suspects: no Form: none JavaScript: no Pages: 1 Encrypted: no Page size: 841.92 x 595.2 pts (A4) Page rot: 270 File size: 198211 bytes Optimized: no PDF version: 1.4 These files appear with correct orientation in okular and occupy the full page as it should. If I select "Print Preview" the page appears in portrait mode too. When I send the file to the printer though the page is printed in portrait mode and is scaled down to a corner of the page. To force okular to print the page correctly I have to go to the printer properies and select orientation to "Portrait" (it autoselected "Landscape" for some reason) and then also change in the "PDF Options" of the print dialog the "Scaling mode" to "Fit to full page". If I use firefox or chrome to print the same file, it appears with correct size/orientation. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Kubuntu 25.04 KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.12.0 Qt Version: 6.8.3 Kernel Version: 6.14.0-32-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i3-8100 CPU @ 3.60GHz Memory: 15.5 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Intel® UHD Graphics 630
One small note: the example pdf I have attached doesn't have text in it (it is an empty page from a document I cannot attach) but has enough blobs of ink on it that when printed you can tell what is the printed area.
