SUMMARY Upon updating to Plasma 6.5 Beta 1 (6.4.90), I noticed all my panels across all monitors are missing until I create a new panel, upon creating a new panel, all the other panels appear and I can remove the newly created panel until I restart plasmashell, and will need to do it again. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Upgrade from Plasma 6.4 to 6.5 Beta 1. 2. Start Plasma, observe that the panels are missing. 3. Create a new panel, triggering the other panels to spawn. OBSERVED RESULT Panels are missing until a newly created panel via Edit Mode is created. EXPECTED RESULT Panels should be visible upon boot. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux 6.16.8-zen1-1-zen (64-bit) KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.90 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.18.0 Qt Version: 6.10.0
I'm not able to reproduce this on Plasma built from git-master or 6.4.5. All panels show normally, on all displays. Can you reproduce this with a brand new user on the same machine?
