I can't reproduce this on Windows 11. Are you changing the color theme on Windows 11 or in digiKam? Please take a screenshot. Maik

Default theme .. i cannot see text on hover popup on individual images (w image properties) Any other theme.. i cannot see the pulldown menu text.. the hover popup text is readable. This is just a font color problem in both cases .. entirely in digikam

Can't reproduce this here. It could be an OpenGL issue. Please change the enforcement of software OpenGL in the digiKam setup under Miscellaneous -> System, regardless of whether it's enabled or disabled. digiKam must be restarted for the option to take effect. Maik

Please test the pre-release digiKam-8.8.0 from here: https://files.kde.org/digikam/ It is compiled with a more recent version of Qt. Maik

Since this issue hasn't been reported by other users yet, it's going to be difficult to fix. At the moment, I have no idea what's causing it. Maik

I think I've found the cause. You've set the widget element style to Windows 11 under digiKam Settings -> Miscellaneous -> Appearance. This should always be set to Breeze, which currently supports all color theme features. Maik
I confirm the Maik comment #11 as i reproduced the dysfunction on my office laptop under Win11.
