MAC Pro 2008 NVICIA K4000 64 Gb ( two machines ) . Both machines have been or worked with Fedora and Chrome until updates were applied 9/6/2025 to Fedora from the Software Update feature. Upon reboot, attempts to get into Chrome exhibited a blank white screen with an account icon upper right hand corner never seen before in Chrome. You could mouse over icon and see a pop up menu with one option to login. However the options were greyed out. Proper steps were taken to remove Chrome and reinstall. No change, Both systems were then wiped after a new USB stick of Fedora KDE was installed. After installing Fedora, updates were applied to,bring the system up to very latest Fedora. The only application installed was Chrome. Reimaged machines total 6 times. One time attempts to install Chrome from Fedora RPMs. One time from Google’s download. Running Chrome from terminal found some ApIs depreciated but could not screen capture. 5th attempt, downloaded and made Fedora Workstation with Gnome Desktop. Chrome appears to work fine with Gnome. I must emphasize. Machines have been working on Fedora 42 until updates from Fedora on Sept 6 caused. This problem. I also tried COSMIC, Desktop and it too fails. I find that bizarre since it uses Rust? Suspect some low level library lost some code or waschanged. 3. Thanks for the bug report. This sounds like an application specific or packaging issue that needs to be addressed by Fedora. The fact that the bug happens with the COSMIC desktop says the issue is not with the desktop environment, but with the packaging. I recommend filing a bug with Fedora about this, if there isn't one already. https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/quick-docs/bugzilla-file-a-bug/
