SUMMARY When the option "Turning off split view closes the view in focus" is turned off (i.e. now turning off split view closes the view not in focus), other actions that would depend upon selecting one of the views, start having a problem after restarting Dolphin. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Configure Dolphin -> Interface -> Folders & Tabs -> Split view: -> Turning off split view closes the view in focus --> Uncheck the check box 2. Open a split view and check usage of other actions** 3. Close Dolphin and open again, restoring the previously open tabs, then again, check usage of other actions** ** other actions that I tried: - F5 to refresh - Go back - Go forwards - Go up OBSERVED RESULT - On step 2, the other actions work just fine, same as when the 'option' has not been unchecked - On step 3, the other actions start acting on the wrong view - Left view selected -> F5 -> Right-side view gets refreshed -> Still, Left view remains selected - Left view selected -> Go back/Go forwards/Go up -> the action works on the Right-side view -> Right side view becomes selected -> Go back/Go forwards/Go up (without clicking anywhere else that might change the selected view) -> the next action works on the Left-side view -> Left side view becomes selected EXPECTED RESULT The other actions** work on the selected view, instead of the non-selected one. Can confirm, seems that the setting is not loaded when dolphin starts, so it's always the default (checkbox on, even if its toggled off in the settings) Operating System: Fedora Linux 42 KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.19.0 Qt Version: 6.9.2 Kernel Version: 6.16.7-200.fc42.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 12 × AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor Memory: 16 GiB of RAM (15.5 GiB usable) Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 6600
