Description Kyes 2025-09-12 03:01:02 UTC
SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Make sure that Settings > Activities > Default (only one exist) > Tracking File and app use is OFF.
2. Start Okular
3. Open some PDF

OBSERVED RESULT
Okular clearly remember PDFs and its opened state. I read tons of PDF daily and it creates insane amount of history!!

EXPECTED RESULT
- When KDESettings clearly say no tracking, those history should be OFF.
- Gwenview, your image viewer, has an option to disable history. Why not do same thing?
- As a workaround, I purged and set ".config/okularrc" file to read only so that it cannot write any more history. But alas! Your app whine with this message "not writable. Please contact your system admin"
