SUMMARY STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Look at "journalctl --all|grep org.kde.kded.smart" OBSERVED RESULT Detected locale "C" with character encoding "ANSI_X3.4-1968", which is not UTF-8. First of all, I did not install kded.smart. I am already using smartmontools to monitor. Why KDE Plasma doesn't have any UI in Settings app to disable this thing?? EXPECTED RESULT By not spewing out this error and silently continue, or better, quit yourself if the user installed smartmontools manually. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: - macOS: - (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window) Linux/KDE Plasma: Latest Debian 13 KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION N/A
Thank you for your bug report! Debian advises users to not submit bugs upstream (https://www.debian.org/Bugs/Reporting), as this version of the KDE software no longer receives updates or maintenance from KDE, and so it's possible that the bug exists only in Debian at this point. Could you report the bug to Debian using the report bug utility (https://packages.debian.org/stable/utils/reportbug)? If necessary, the maintainer of the package will forward the bug upstream. Thanks for understanding!
