Created attachment 184900 [details] My power management dashboard SUMMARY Despite the power management popup saying screen locking and sleep is blocked due to Vivaldi playing audio (which it is, from YouTube Music) the system still automatically goes to sleep. To prevent this, I have to use the "manually block" button, which does work. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Make sure your system settings have the computer to go to sleep automatically 2. Open YouTube Music and play a song in Vivaldi 3. Let your computer sit and watch it turn off OBSERVED RESULT Computer should not go to sleep, as Plasma supposedly recognizes that it shouldn't be turned off due to Vivaldi playing audio. EXPECTED RESULT Computer goes to sleep SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 6.12.41-1-MANJARO KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.6 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.17.0 Qt Version: 6.9.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION No updates available.
Thank you for the bug report! However Plasma 6.3.6 no longer receives updates or maintenance from KDE; active versions are 6.4 or newer. Please upgrade to an active version as soon as your distribution makes it available to you. Plasma is a fast-moving project, and bugs in one version are often fixed in the next one. If you need help with Plasma 6.3.6, please contact your distribution, who bears the responsibility of providing help for older releases that are no longer receiving updates from KDE. If you can reproduce the issue after upgrading to an active version, feel free to re-open this bug report.
This still partially occurs in 6.4.5. While it doesn't seem to go to sleep while Vivaldi claims sleep & screen locking (the music keeps playing when the screen turns off), the screen does turn off - if it's intentional that only sleep is blocked and not screen locking, I don't think it should say "Vivaldi is currently blocking sleep & *screen locking*".
Right, that's another issue: Bug 418433.
Oh, sorry, I searched but couldn't find one. Thank you for pointing that out!
