SUMMARY

Bibliography entries with local PDFs are not showing in the document preview panel. The error message shown is

    Don’t know how to show mimetype ‘application/pdf’.

    Please install Okular for KDE Frameworks 5 to make use of its PDF viewing component.

    Okular for KDE 4 will not work.

I have 
kbibtex Version: 1:0.10.0-7 
okular Version: 25.08.0-1
okularpart5 Version: 23.08.5-3

mimetypes for PDF in file associations are set for Okular as the application and Okularpart as the embedded application.

PDFs open without any issue in Okular, even using KBibTex's 'Open in external program' option - the problem seems restricted to okularpart.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  add a local PDF to a bibliography entry
2. attempt to view in Document Preview panel

Error message as above
