SUMMARY Some custom tiled windows are incorrectly re-tiled when switching virtual desktops, or when other windows are minimized Setup Have at least two virtual desktops STEPS TO REPRODUCE This can be reproduced with a single display 1. Open Kate and KWrite 2. Tile Kate to the left third with a shortcut (custom tiling via the Mudeer plugin) 3. Tile KWrite to middle third with a shortcut 4. Switch to another virtual desktop, and then back OBSERVED RESULT Kate retains its tiling KWrite is tiled on the right half, rather than how it had been sized / tiled EXPECTED RESULT Window size and tiling is unchanged Another way to reproduce: This I cannot trigger on a single display, only when I have my laptop docked and connected to an external monitor 1. Open two Firefox windows 2. Custom tile one to the left third 3. Custom tile the other to the middle third 4. Minimize one of the two windows OBSERVED RESULT The non-minimized window tiles to take up half the screen SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: Seen on git-master as well as 6.4.4 ❯ kinfo pci id for fd 16: 10de:2520, driver (null) kmsro: driver missing Operating System: Solus 4.7 KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.17.0 Qt Version: 6.9.2 Kernel Version: 6.15.6-321.current (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 16 × 11th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-11800H @ 2.30GHz Memory: 64 GiB of RAM (62.5 GiB usable) Graphics Processor 1: Intel® UHD Graphics Graphics Processor 2: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU ADDITIONAL INFORMATION If you do this with Firefox windows, they are also incorrectly re-tiled This seems similar, but is not the same as https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=494229
