Summary KWrite opens text files in new windows instead of tabs despite settings configuration. Description When opening text files with KWrite, each file opens in a new KWrite window. The expected behavior, as per the setting in KWrite > Settings > Behavior > 'Open each document in its own window', is that files should open as tabs in the same KWrite window when this option is unchecked. However, this is not functioning as intended. Interestingly, creating a new file in KWrite does correctly add that new file as a tab instead of opening a new window. Steps to Reproduce 1. Open KWrite. 2. Go to Settings > Behavior. 3. Ensure the option 'Open each document in its own window' is unchecked. 4. Open a text file. 5. Observe that the file opens in a new window instead of as a tab. Expected Behavior Files should open as tabs in the same KWrite window when the setting is unchecked. Actual Behavior Files open in new KWrite windows regardless of the setting.
