SUMMARY Toolbar icon text settings don't survive app restart. Specifically, it always reverts to icons with no text. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Set "Text position" for toolbar icons to "Text under icons". 2. Restart Krusader. OBSERVED RESULT Icons don't have any text. EXPECTED RESULT "Text position" setting preserved. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Krusader: 2.9.0 "Sixth Life" KDE Frameworks: 6.12.0 Qt: Using 6.8.3 and built against 6.8.3 Kubuntu 25.04 (Wayland) Build ABI: x86_64-little_endian-lp64 Kernel: linux 6.14.0-29-generic ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Observed since porting to Qt6.
I can not reproduce the problem, using Kubuntu 25.04 (with X11 or Wayland) and the git version of Krusader, after right-clicking on the toolbar and setting "Text position" for toolbar icons to "Text under icons". I restarted Krusader several times and I saw that the setting was persistent. Can you follow the steps of https://commits.kde.org/krusader?path=INSTALL in order to build the git version of Krusader and tell us if your problem is solved?
